Henry “Bud” Tarver

Henry “Bud” Tarver our beloved Father and brother, crossed into heaven on 1/30/2016 at 2:22 AM. He was immersed in his family’s love.

Bud was preceded in death by his children’s mother, Thelma Tarver, and later Lillian McDonald, his most recent spouse, his sister Lou Callahan, his brother Jesse Tarver.

He is survived by his sisters Lilly “Bob” Baumann, Essie Mae Stanley and brother John Tarver. Bud has 7 Children, Marjorie Vaughan & husband Wesley, Charles Tarver and his wife Cindy, Bonnie Kincell & her husband Doug, Calvin Tarver & his wife Bobbie, Delois Sims & her husband Wayne, Brenda Graham & her husband John, and James Wade Tarver. He also has many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grand Children.

Bud volunteered for the Army during WW2, where he survived, living through several battles and damaging injuries. After years of tenacious fighting with our own Veterans Administration, and something his family is extremely proud of, was awarding Bud with 100% service connected disability which had been wrongfully denied him for over 50 years.

Bud was family oriented providing a protective environment for his children. He was a pure outdoorsman. He trapped for food, hunting and fishing for his family and carving out a living as best he could. He offered his home and food to all that needed help.

Bud’s service will have the military honors this veteran deserve. He will be buried next to his wife of 10 Years, Lillian McDonald, at the Broaddus Cemetery.
